After Dark Releases New ZMD Poster & More Info About the Festival

After Dark Films recently acquired ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction as part of Horror Fest 4.  Screening dates are January 29-Feburary 4th, 2010 in 30 cities nationwide.  The 30 cities have yet to be selected but After Dark’s site says most will be announced by January 1st as theaters are booked.

Zombies of Mass Destruction gets national distribution deal through Lionsgate/After Dark

The zombie film that has been making a sensation across the globe at National and International Film Festivals has finally negotiated a national distribution deal.  Zombies of Mass Destruction, starring Doug, is set to be released in theaters near the end of January 2010 in 30 cities nationwide as part of After Dark’s Horror Fest 4 “8 Films to Die For”.   Read more >>

Making of ZMD Documentary World Premiere at Fremont Zombie Walk

All you zombie fans, make sure you come to the Fremont Outdoor Cinema’s Zombie Walk this Friday, July 3rd.  Festivities start around 6pm.  They are trying to break the Guinness World Record for most zombies.  After the walk the outdoor cinema is showing a screening of Shaun of the Dead on two screens.  The producers of ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction will be screening a world premiere documentary on the making of ZMD prior to Shaun of the Dead.   Read more >>

ZMD showed strong at LA Film Festival

I just got back from an overnight trip to LA to see the first screening of ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction at the Magestic Crest Theater in Westwood. The screening was at about 80% capacity (sold out for Saturday’s screening). The audience seemed to really enjoy the film and there were several industry professionals in attendance. Had a fun time at a few before and after parties as well.

ZMD wins runner up for SIFF best film award

The Seattle International Film Festival announced their top audience favorites and Zombies of Mass Destruction took third runner-up as best film of the festival (Golden Space Needle Award). Here are the award results. There were over 300 films screened at the festival, so this placement is very exciting for all those involved in the production. Read more >>
